Chichicastenango is home of one of the largest outdoor Guatemalan markets. The market is held every Thursday and Sunday with Sunday being the biggest day.

In Chichi you can find just about every handicraft made in Guatemala. There is a wide variety of Tejido (weavings), leather good, jewelry, silver, clothing, woodwork, knick-knacks and MUCH more!!

There are shuttles to Chichi from Xela every Sunday morning run by many of the travel agencies. You can also catch any bus going to Guatemala City and change buses at Los Encuentros to Chichi.
