During more than 10 years of teaching Spanish to foreign students, the school has developed a profund and systematic method of teaching. The teacher will provide you with books and materials according to your needs and level of Spanish which will be evaluated in your first class. You don't need more than a dictionary and a notebook. Only if you want to work on a special book from your school or university you are asked to bring this book with you.

The school has an extensive library with grammar and reference books, dictionaries, and several literary works. Among the grammar books are the Pasajes series and Español en Español. Works by Latin American authors such as Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Vargas Llosa and Miguel Angel Asturias are available, as is the Spanish translation of the Popol Vuh, an ancient text containing the mythology of the Quiché people.

Students may wish to use some of these materials as a basis for lessons, and a personalized learning program can be worked out between each student and teacher. If you want to lend one of the books from the school's library you can do so for a refundable deposit of 10$ per book.

In addition, the school offers viewing of documentaries and films. Documentaries focus on political and social aspects of the country, and there are films based on works by various Latin American authors.
