Juan Sisay supports several progressive projects in the Quetzaltenango area. A percentage of each student's tuition finances these projects. Students also have the opportunity to visit the project sites or to volunteer with a project directly. Examples of current projects include:
Reforestation Project in the mountains surrounding Quetzaltenango.
Educational Projects with disadvantaged children who also receive scholarships from us.

Volunteer tutors are needed to help these kids (students) in basic Maths, writing and reading. Volunteers spend approx. two hours a day in the children's community to help them with their homework, because most of their parents are illiterate.

Teaching English: Every wednesday we give you the opportunity of teaching English in a nearby school. The school needs our help, because they do not have teachers for English.


Funds are also allocated to support various local progressive organizations.

If you are a medical student or have an interest in medicine you can help at a local clinic in the afternoons after class.

If you bring a small donation of medicine, gloves or ANY medical supplies big or small, you can attend a surgical procedure preformed by local medical experts. Donations are accepted and appreciated from ANY and ALL student.
