Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta Aldea Nueva Esperanza
La Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta Aldea Nueva Esperanza is located about 30 minutes to the west of Quetzaltenango and about 9 km East of Colomba Guatemala in the heart of the Western Highlands.
There are about 180 children that attend this school from Pre-Kindergarten to Sixth grade. For many of these children this will be the only education they receive.
This small rural school is like many rural schools in Guatemala and they need your help. The school director has told meANY/ALL help is appreciated. These students need: pencils, pens, paper, books, crayons, markers, desks, chairs, blackboards, posters, backpacks, chalk, money for construction and just about ANYTHING else you are willing to bring to donate.

Thank you Steffany and Jason Kay of MT USA and the Ceres Rotary Club of Ceres, CA. Your generous support allowed us to give each of the 180 children at the school, 2 pencils with colorful erasures and 2 ball point pens. We then split up all the other supplies into 7 backpacks and gave one backpack to each classroom. The backpacks had notebooks, rulers, crayons, makers, calculators, protracters, glue sticks, pencil shapeners, more pencils and more pens, scissors...etc.
