A child without education is a child without future!

To every child in western countries it is very common to go to school. However, for children in Guatemala, going to school is not a common practice. That is why the school fund Elly's Kids Foundation was founded, on initiative of Elly Cosijn.

The underlying idea of Elly's Kids foundation is that every child should have a decent existence, first as a child and later as a grown-up. The main goal of Elly's Kids Foundation is to advance and improve the living conditions of children in all parts of the world where children's rights are not at the centre of attention, starting in Guatemala. The school fund Elly's Kids Foundation wants to help as many children as possible, in Guatemala and in the future in other countries too, by providing education and coaching.

Activities

The foundation offers the children the possibility to go to school and pays the school fees, materials, books and uniforms. Also counselling is taken care of.

Elly's Kids Foundation does her best to improve the living conditions of these children. The underlying idea of Elly's Kids foundation is that every child should have a decent existence, first as a child, later as an adult.

Are you looking for a place to work as a volunteer or as a trainee?
Of course this is also possible with Elly's Kids Foundation, for example as a teacher of English, as a homework coach, or as an assistant when there are activities for the children. There are several possibilities, but for all possibilities, the following is required:

-Minimum availability of six weeks
- To be enthusiastic to work with children
-Knowledge of the Spanish language (you don't have to speak Spanish fluently)
-Most of all: have a lot of energy!
