Guatemalan BeachesTilapa Beach in GuatemalaTilapa

The beaches in Guatemala are all black sand and while they are not as impressive as some of the beaches south of us they are still great places to go and relax.  Within a couple hours by bus from Xela you can visit Champerico, Tulate, Sipicate and Tilapa (our favorite).  A few hours more and you can visit Puerto San Jose and Monterrico which are the most popular beaches in Guatemala.
