San Pedro la Laguna - Lake Atitlan, Guatemala

San Pedro la Laguna is located in the department of Sololá, Guatemala, Central America. San Pedro is a friendly Mayan village located on the shores of beautiful Lago de Atitlán (Lake Atitlán). "The Lake" is considered by many to be one of the most scenic and serene places in Central America. When famed English novelist Aldous Huxley, visited in the 1930s, he called Atitlán "the most beautiful lake in the world."

San Pedro has plenty of inexpensive hotels, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Be careful though because many people who have traveled to San Pedro love it so much they can not bear to leave!

You will find plenty of activities in San Pedro including but not limited to: Kayaking, swimming, meditation, natural solar baths, hiking, horseback riding...etc.

San Pedro is a great place to chill out and enjoy a few Spanish classes while watching the Xocomil (afternoon wind) sweep over Lake Atitlan.
